Tax benefits
The Inflation Reduction Act ensures a minimum 30% Federal ITC through 2032, with some projects eligible for additional credits. Investors can utilize this credit to offset their federal tax liabilities, dollar for dollar, against their current year, the previous 3 years, or the following 22 years.
Bonus depreciation
In addition to the Federal ITC, commercial solar projects are also currently eligible for 40% bonus depreciation, with the remaining 60% depreciated over a 5-year MACRS schedule.
